What is Critical Care?
Also known as intensive care medicine, it's a specialized branch of medical science that deals with seriously or critically ill patients who have, are at risk of, or are recovering from conditions that may turn fatal. It usually involves providing life support, invasive monitoring techniques, resuscitation, and end-of-life care to save the patient's life and improve quality of life. The department has a multidisciplinary team of many different health professionals and experts from other departments, working together to provide multidisciplinary, seamless care to the patients.
